Biography

East Coast Rockers American Speedway establishes a nasty disposition while cutting teeth on their own brash hard rock punk metal.

Since the fearsome four formed in 2007, American Speedway released their debut album SHIP OF FOOLS with the hit single "One Foot In, One Foot Out" which charted within the Top 5 on Sirius Punk Charts for 5 months straight. Their debut full-length was released on Prophase Music in 2008, distributed by MVD Entertainment Group.

For the week of Nov. 11, 2008, the title track was added to 36 commercial radio stations and 56 college radio stations, making "'Ship of Fools' #5 Most Added" according to FMQB. "Ship of Fools" charted at #36 on CMJ's Hard Rock Select Chart the following week.

The song "Lonely River", which will be featured on the bands sophomore release A BIGGER BOAT, was leaked to the public in June 2010. A BIGGER BOAT is slated for winter 2011.
The first single "Howl (Ya Doin?)" will be released on a 7" Vinyl with a live rendition of "20th Century Boy" (Marc Bolan and T-Rex).

They have toured with Tesco Vee and The Meatmen, direct support with The Supersuckers, Valient Thorr, Mike Watt, Joe Buck, to name a few. They have established a fan base of thousands, won over several booking agent, promoters and venues, and is regarded as one of the best live "real" rock and roll bands in America. Their performance is really where it's at.
