Chaos Con Queso started as an experimental drum and keyboard collaboration between Dave Gunn and Davey Jones known as "FUCK!".
FUCK! began out of boredom on a hot summer day in July, 2005. The two then recruited Dave Greer on Bass and Trevor Verteramo on Guitar. The name FUCK! was scrapped as were the already existing songs.
One day in film class, Davey was talking to Stephen Faught about music, upon the inquiry of Stephen's musical tastes and preferences, it was revelaed that Steve was a master Cellist. Davey, thinking this was an interesting idea decided to invite Steve to a practice to see how well he fit in with the rest of the band members. Steve was immediatley loved by the entire band, still nameless at the time. The band was set, all they needed was a name and a singer. While throwing out names, Dave Greer suggested "Chaos Con Queso" it beat out the runner up "Don't Forget Wyoming" and became the permanent name of the band. All they needed was a singer, an eye magnet with an afro and a lot of energy.
One chilly sunday afternoon in November, Kevin Duquette came to a practice, during the bands first rehearsal of "Scuffed Shoes" Kevin proceeded to break a table and a keyboard adapter, while knocking Trevor's guitar amp off of the milk carton where it stood. Kevin freaked everyone out, and was sure he would not be invited back. However, through the niceness of Dave Greer, they decided to have him stay.
After countless practices, the band was ready. Their first show was Sunday, March 26th, 2006...and it hailed.
