Biography:
August 2002 saw the birth of The Hostage Heart, one of Worcester, MA's best new bands of the past few years. With the support of a loyal fan base in the Northeast combined with relentless touring, The Hostage Heart are expecting to build a nationwide following within the coming year. Drawing from bands such as their good friends Blood Has Been Shed, Premonitions of War, Prayer for Cleansing and Dissolve- their musical influence can best be described as wicked guitar playing, brutal vocals & intense drumming. While they do not claim to be a Christian or straightedge band, both of these ideologies have a strong presence in their music. The band is comprised of Chris Diamantis on vocals, Nate Lane and Jared Colby on guitars, Nate Fiske on bass and Geoff Bahre on drums.
Previous releases include a 4-song self-released EP in 2003 entitled The First Signs of Worldly Cancer. Their previous release, captivating live show and willingness to tour wherever, whenever have given the band a solid reputation across the Northeast. The Hostage Heart have been touring insecently in support of their debute label release entitled, "Where There Is Despair, Hope" on New York based Five Point Records.

they have promise of being good- good guitars- need faster drums(but they're alright) vocals are good- keep using the high pitch scream and try to get alittle bit more melodic and then add some grindy breakdowns

overall = ok
