Biography:
Within a year of forming Merit emerged from the Syracuse, NY scene and was got signed to Aux Records and tapped to release their first studio album. With the release of When We Fight in 2004 the buzz about Merit spread throughout Central New York and beyond, propelling them to open for acts like Liz Phair, Thousand Foot Krutch, Freya, Stage and Bif Naked.
After significant commercial radio airplay in CNY, the CD made it to college radio nationwide with "Man On A String" helping the band earn recognition from NY to LA.
