Biography:
Formed in 2003 in Swindon, UK, this five-piece metal outfit Pre-Infection were young and averaging an age of only 15, life long friends they decided to entwine their passions for music into one solitary sound. Come the end of 2004, influenced by the likes of Avenged Sevenfold, Unearth and Killswitch Engage, Pre-Infection came out of hiding and hit the local venues. The line-up consists of Pete Smith (lead/backing vox), Ed Wilson (vocals), Sam Spencer (rhythm), Carl Deacon (bass) and Joff Thompson (drums), together these guys produce brutal riffs, crushing vocals and instrumental smarts together with ecstatic melodies that attract people loving metal, hardcore and screamo. Since their first gig in December 2004, they have been constantly gigging in their local area and have spread to a few spots outside of there, and at every venue bringing in a sizeable crowd and winning a fierce amount of fans and quality reaction as they hone in on their instrumental skills the old fashioned way, through experience. Still only 17, the band have been attracting the likes of London producers and promotional companies, and as they work on their EP titled, Wings Of Redemption in a London studio, we can expect to see a lot more of Pre-Infection in the very near future Now after an extra 8 months in the game, Pre-Infection have come out with a taster of what we are to expect from them, a 2 track, self-titled demo CD. The 2 tracks show vast improvement and maturity, Nightmare's of the Dead showing a mellow side to the band as the lovely acoustic intro suggests yet back to brutal as the song kicks in with sublime riffs and polished dual guitar harmonies, along with We are the Disease supplying us with more quality riffs and some heavier guitaring getting us moving along to this more catchy tune yet never leaving its metal outfit.
