Biography:
THE BEGINNINGIn Early 2002, Scott, Jesse, and Jon's previous band Bled Across The Sky needed a drummer so Nick jumped at the idea to try out. Next thing you know they played a couple shows with some Amazing bands, recorded an ep and headed out on tour with Eight Bucks Experiment. After tour the Singer of Bled Across The Sky left the band and Nick was appointed the new singer. But drummers were hard to find so Nick took 6 months off to move to California and attend Community College. When Nick returned to Colorado Jon, Scott, and Jesse had improved in they're craft with a fresh new style. Without a drummer still, the band jammed until Chris Brinson decided to tryout and learn the songs Jesse recorded alone in his basement on alittle cheap mixer he bought. After a couple months the band started performing with a new look a new style and A heap of Ambition. Late 2003 The Calefaction Cut a 5 Song CD entitled Isle EP from the wonderful Studio 8 Houses Down (in Denver,CO), Which was Released on Halloween 2004. From The Beginning of 2003 to 2005 the boys played tons of Shows, House Parties, Pool Parties, Bars, Etc.... (pretty much anyplace that would allow them to Set they're gear up). THE INCIDENT After 2005 alot of Changes Were happening and it led to the Abandoning of the Ship. Nick Nova tried to get the band to move out to San Diego (which didn't work and moved there anyways) Scott Miller Moved to Hollywood Jesse Race decided to fold to the Music Scene and hang up his Jacket Jon Wells joined a band called Glass Houses Sink Ships (which included the Singer from Bled Across The Sky) and Chris Brinson jammed around with a couple projects THE FALSE HOPE In 2005 While Nick was in California he kept writing songs for The Calefaction hoping to get everything up and running one day. after finishing some ideas, He sent them to Chris to hear. Shortly after, Chris visited and Layed down 2 new demo tracks. In 2006 Nick returned to Colorado to get the band going again and also because He Straight up missed Colorado (One of the most amazing states). After Returning He teamed up with Chris again to be the first steps of The Reformation. They jammed with some people and ended up finding a bassist who was amazing but had to move away. 2 Awesome Guitarists and mid year Jon Wells returned to the band after Glass Houses Sink Ships broke up. In 2007 Nick Nova was forced to move back to San Diego, CA due to personal reasons but didn't really want to leave. This puts the band back at Square 1. THE DIVIDED & THE REFORMATION In August 2007, Nick Nova joined Stereo Summer as the Bass/BGV to keep his feet wet and Start building a repuation in San Diego. During this time Nick started tightening his Guitar skills in case of needing to become a Guitar/Singer which he hadn't done since 2002 in the 3 piece Dark Punk band NISM. Mid 2008 Nick met a Guitarist named Robert Kramer who was done for the cause and soon after started Jamming more Frequently on some New material from The Calefaction. Currently Nick and Kramer are jamming with a temporary Drummer, and a potential Bassist and Guitarist. Let's Keep Our Fingers Crossed. One thing Nick Nova promises is that the new material is going to Rock you in ways The Calefaction have never Rocked you before.
