why is this necessary

After reading the book and going back to re-watch the movie, it actually became a huge disappointment. They could have removed the character so much more from reality than they did. Also, the book takes place over at least a year while the movie is over the course of like a week. I like the original a lot still, but i can imagine lots more ways that they could have done the book justice.

I thought the film adaptation was pretty spot on, the tone really captured the essence of the book. Christian Bale was perfect, still his best role to date.

it was alright. seemed kinda long but the 3D was cool.

wasnt too blown away by it as i watched it, but afterwards I was thinking yeah that was a pretty awesome movie, especially since its based on a true story. Danny Greene was one tough mick.
