it has a loose volume pot, i have to replace the tuners(which i already have) and it needs a new neck pickup. how much SHOULD this cost to get taken care of(just as far as labor goes)?

do it yourself and it'll be free for labor.

none of that stuff is difficult, if you don't feel like doing it, someone will take a lot of your money for a little work.

the volume pot is a replaceable part for like 9 bucks and it's easy to put in, the tuners seem like you have under control and the neck pickup is just simple soldering.

i have neck pickups too if you need be ill give you cheap

More like $3. If you're paying $9, you're getting ripped off.

Are you planning on keeping the single coils or going with humbuckers?

There are plenty of wiring diagrams out there and it's not a bad thing to learn how to do. Get a cheap iron and go to town.

fuck a bunch of hotrails.

i guess the bridge is an SD invader. i'm thinking about putting another one in the neck. ryanx, what pickups do you have to get rid of?

the volume pot isn't even broken or anything, i guess some wires just came loose while the dude was on tour, and now it cracks a little bit. should be an easy fix.

Hotrails are supposed to be single-coil replacements, unless they also make a full-size one. Invaders suck dick. Overly gainy pickups are lame as shit.

The HH version is just a bastardization of a neat guitar. DO NOT WANT.

i'd throw a humbucker in the neck of it, and if i had money throw an old gibson issued p90 in the bridge or at least a nice p90 type pickup in the neck of it and throw the sound around.
