If they went to school for it, you should be in good hands.. Is there going to be anyone experienced there at all or just a bunch of interns?

it wouldn't be their first time recording something, just the first time tracking a whole band
dudes teacher will be there helping him, but i guess this would be his first actual time doing it himself

if it's free and comes out like shit it will be good pre-production for you guys to record the shit and find out what you want to change before a real recording. can't go wrong

Not really audio engineering. I'll be taking mostly business classes. It's call music industry but it's mostly business classes with some music class thrown in. And I'll be taking classes at this recording studio school thing two nights a week.

It's free so you can't go wrong really. My band recorded three times at colleges (one of them being our singers project), and each time it sucked because of misc issues. However, we did get some good experience. Recording is a much different environment than shows or practice so it takes some getting used to.

Same difference. Business classes are never a bad idea, though.

It seems like everyone wants to do this shit now. WHY.

I mean.. I'm not excluded, but I bought my own shit and taught myself by recording bands and now I'm in the process of working out of a new studio.

Free recording is always fun. Just don't expect a top notch recording. Have some fun. It'll be an experience for all involved.

I'm starting to teach myself. Just ordered a firepod to start off with. It just kind of worked out that I could take those classes so I figured if I had the opportunity why not.
