Visceral Evisceration - Incessant Desire For Palatable Flesh is seriously one of the most underrated albums ever. I'm always trying to tell people about this band, and I never hear anyone else talking about them. Awesome epic death/doom with the goriest lyrics known to man. It's so good.

the original Incubus was awesome too, I'd recommend Serpent Temptation by far over Beyond The Unknown though (that's in my blog if you don't have it).

also, I saw Septic Flesh last month in France and they totally killed it. awesome live band.

Are you for fucking real? I'm so jealous. Septic Flesh have been one of my favorite DM bands since high school. I still listen to Estoptron and Ophidian Wheel on cassette! Oddly enough, Mystic Places of Dawn is the only one I ever had on CD. I totally agree with you about Visceral Evisceration too. They were so doomy and oppressive. I think part of their problem was that people just assumed they were a simplistic pig-squeal gore-band because of their name. It's a shame, because they were amazing.
