I'm looking to lose weight and tone muscle. I'm at about 190 now and would like to be at least at 170 or 175. I have a free gym at my apartment complex and I have decided to make some time to get in there but I'm lost. If I could get some advice as far as what routine would be best, and also the most effective diet to achieve this.

cut down on carbs, do 30+ minutes of cardio a night 4-5x a week, cut down on sugars, drink a lot of water, more protein, more fresh fruit and veg. keep your calories -500 your daily allowance.

that sounds easy enough. what about as far as how many times a day to eat and what kind of things for meals?

5-6 small meals a day. High protein, mid level on carbs, low fats

try HIIT cardio.

jog/sprint for 2 minutes, walk for a minute...etc until your 30 minutes are up.
