i used to get sick ie: colds, flu, and sinus infections w/ a fever and chills, damn near 4-6 times a year. this year i started drinking homemade fruit smoothies... no sugar added, about 4-5 days a week. particularly with blueberries... i have only been seriously sick 1 time this entire year. ive had little things hear and there, but for the most part, i am never sick anymore. blueberries are supposed to be one of the most healthy foods there is.
Do you do anything specifically to prevent yourself from getting sick? Eat/drink a certain way? Other things that come into play?
I very rarely if ever get sick. To be completely honest, I don't think I would ever get sick if it weren't for the horrible poison I subject my body too. The only complaints I have are chronic stomach pains and record-breaking hangovers, but that is completely due to the fact that I imbibe copious amounts of alcohol on the weekends. I think the secret to not getting sick is conditioning your immune system to accept a healthy amount of pathogens. Keep your body fighting. Don't take an antibiotic after the first sign of a cold. I almost never eat prescription remedies for ANYTHING....and you know what? I'm not dead. I have a strong immune system that is tempered by filth, and it is used to fending for itself. Also, Brickhouse mentioned fruits and veggies. This is also vital. You do not want to be the guy at work with scurvy. Vitamin C is critical and can be found in just about anything green.
