now the question is, will lawler actually stand with him? i really cant see this making it out of the first round if they both bang.

Robbie can throw, but you have to be crazy to stand with Melvin right now.

I think Robbie is going to use his wrestling alot more in this fight but he will still stand and trade.

Lawler has the tools to wear Manhoef down if he wants to. Manhoef fades quickly if he doesn't land the blitzkrieg attack early. Robbie is going to need to show composure and pressure him with clinch against the cage and possible takedowns. If he just goes Rock'em Sock'em he has a chance to get his head taken off.

Manhoef just recently lost his gym and moved to a space where he couldn't really train on the ground. If i was Lawler, i would use that knowledge to my advantage and take the fight horizontal fast and work the GNP.

if manhoef ever developed a chuck liddell esque sprawl... god help us.
