that between Jamarcus Russell, Brady Quinn, and Kevin Kolb, that Kolb would be the best one? Kolb's no franchise QB, but those two are walking disasters.

kolb has decent potential, from what we witnessed this year. he could do well within this system.

i really doubted him before this year however

Everyone in the world did, I always hated Quinn, but I thought they'd at least play like decent first-rounders. Looking at the 2007 1st round draft is funny now

Jamarcus Russell #1 overall - bust Raiders
Gaines Adams #4 overall - bust Bucs
LaRon Landry #6 overall - not a bust but certainly not playing like the #6 pick Redskins
Ted Ginn #9 overall - not a complete bust yet but close Dolphins
#12 Marshawn Lynch - started strong and has completely fallen off Bills
#13 Adam Carriker - between him and Chris Long the Rams still suck Rams
#17 Jarvis Moss - barely made the team this year - bust Broncos
#21 Reggie Nelson - statistically one of the worst safeties in the league this year Jaguars
#22 Brady Quinn - bust Browns
#26 Anthony Spencer - not a bust at all, but not worth where he was drafted based on how he's performed Cowboys
#30 Craig Davis - who? Chargers

That's fully a third of the 1st round class who are total misses, with Anthony Spencer only recently starting to dig his way out. I guess it's actually not that bad really overall, with another third being serviceable players for their position and draft position, and another third being stars.

but man, it really shows that poor drafting is at the root of a lot of bad teams

russel sucks....but him and Quinn have had more playing time then Kolb though have they not?

so that is more time to show your weaknesses and to fuck up.....so if Kolb started more often who knows how he would ultimately turn out

Kolb could be the new franchise but Philly will probably never find out.

Kolb is definitely better than I thought, but he definitely needs a team around him to do something. Until DeSean and with the exception of T.O., McNabb has had dominance with scrubs as his receiving core. Kolb wouldn't come close to having that type of success.

even with missing 2 games, mcnabb has 3000 yards, 19tds and only 9int. not a bad year at all.

The thing is though they've also had more time to show their strengths, and what they've really shown is they don't really have any. Kolb has shown some really good accuracy and poise, albeit his decision making isn't the greatest. Russell has shown he can throw a ball deep and that's about it, he can't stay in shape, can't show up to meetings and practice on time, can't learn a playbook, can't do a 5 step drop, etc. Brady Quinn has shown that in TWO GAMES he can complete 16 passes.

Ted Ginn is a bust almost all the time except for his few brief moments like the two TD returns.

He's a complete waste with the Wildcat.
