then how does the D line play great if they gave up that many yards rushing?...just doesn't make sense to me considering all of the INT's, fumble recovers/hurries and hits were by those 3...they aren't part of the D line.

The numbers don't matter.

well obviously Brady is great as well....but i think Peyton still has an edge over hime talent wise.

last time I remember Brady hasn't won a super bowl in like five years....

and for the record the saits Defensive line was great yesterday not the rest of saints defense, vikings were running and throwing down field all game.

huh? vilma, sharper and porter all played great...not sure what you were watching.

Farve had 310 yards passing, Peterson had 122 yards rushing, 432 yards of offense is hardly a top notch defensive performance. granted they had Farve on the ropes and hurried him, hit him, and all but crippled him, but come on look at the numbers its not wonderful.

Of course the Vikings numbers are going to be inflated, the Saints twice had created turnovers and had a very short field to work with. Ideal football. 3 of the 4 TD drives from the Vikings started around their own 20, the 4th started around their own 40. On the other side, the Saints had a drive start 37 yards out and another start 7 yards out. I'm not sure what kind of numbers you're looking for but the Saints forced turnovers and capitalized. When you can force 6 fumbles and 2 interceptions, you're doing something right. That was the identity of the Saints defense all season long. They live and die by the turnover. If the Saints defense cant force Manning into making mistakes, the offense will have to play one of their best games of the year.
