well yeah it was really stupid but it was obvious that he was just trying to do a little too much in his first game

Also, I don't care if Wes isn't faulting him for making a rookie mistake. Wes said he isn't faulting him because if he had made the catch, "it would have been epic". Those two things don't equal each other, even if he means it that way.

had he caught it and it had popped out of his glove it might have been closer to epic, but the ball hit several feet in front of him

yea, it didnt even really look like he was close when i saw it. i saw him running for it and was like nononono. definitely a keep it in front of you situation. it was hit so hard the runner on first prob wouldnt have even made it to third if he just blocked it. im faulting him because rookie or not hes a pro player but im not going to let it drag down the rest of his performance
