I have a Dizzy Rascal CD, it has some good beats and I like a few songs but eh, I dunno. I haven't listened to it in a few years. His accent kind of annoys me.

uk hip hop that goes anything approaching mainstream becomes shit. dizzee rascal is arguably an exception (i like some of his newer stuff), but it is no longer anything close to uk hip hop or grime.

Example, Devlin, Tinchy Stryder, Tinnie Tempah, Kano - all of them USED to be hip hop or grime or something inbetween, and are now some sort of uk-club-rnb-rap-featuring-female-vocals-for-a-chorus thing that hasn't yet been given a name.

I will come back to this thread later this evening and post some really good videos. If you can't deal with the accent though, that sucks - you're missing out on a lot of great and original lyricism, flows and beats.
