Couldn't find the pair of Doc Martens I usually buy so I went a little over budget last month and got myself a $175 pair of Timberlands industrial pro boots. They have the steel toe, shank, all leather, thick rubber safety coating on them. I was a little skeptical but they proved their worth three weeks ago when a live receptacle fell in some standing water at work and instantly killed the guy next to me. I kept saying over and over, "holy shit! did you see that? i think my new boots just saved my life." Everyone seemed more concerned to reviving Till than joining me in talking about my boots but I knew I was wearing something special. Two weeks ago there was a downed power line outside of my neighborhood. I stood by and watched as an electrical worker tried to move the line out of the road in his full safety garb but was badly electrocuted nonetheless because of a undetected pinhole in his gloves. I stepped in and began kicking the line off the road not only making a bad situation better but also in style. These are good looking boots. This past week I was up in Rhode Island. I walked out on some ice for some ice fishing. A guy not even 5 feet away from me fell through the ice and disappeared only to be found dead two days later. I, however, stayed dry. I couldn't be more pleased with this purchase.
