i think those analysts underestimate microsoft's stronghold on consumer technology.
windows 8 is based off of the same interface as the xbox and with the surface tablet projected to do well at a $200 starting price, people will slowly and begrudgingly get familiar with the new interface as they always do. i don't think it's going to skyrocket on first release, but as windows 8 circulates, it'll do well.
as far as specs go, it's a top of the line smartphone.
and anyone comparing microsoft to RIM is just being silly.
