I don't think it's depressing. He basically was successful in three areas of acting. He was a stage actor that accidentally got himself into movies and because he's a great character actor, got himself a 3rd gig as a voice actor. He may not have the awards but he has iconic, and cult appreciated, roles in Frank, Pennywise, and Darkness.

.

This felt like the live-action version of a retarded feature-length Japanese cartoon.

This was not as bad as expected and actually kind of neat for an indy-style, on-location, end-of-the-world type thing. It works best in its off-center shots and when the dialogue is at a minimum. One added bonus is you get to see the actor playing the cuntiest character on this season of Narcos get his face burnt off in the first ten minutes, so it's worth it for that.

I fully expected this to be a shadow of its former self without Wagner Moura's brilliant portrayal of Escobar, but it was still pretty good.

This was not terrible, but kind of sad to watch one of Sam Shepard's last films. On the bright side, it was a much better role than he got on that soap opera Bloodline.

Netflix just added this and just started watching it but can already tell it will be good when the main character kicks the living shit out of some random douchebag unicyclist for leaning on his car door five minutes into the first episode. People will recognize actors from Game of Thrones, Harlots, and of course the great abovementioned shitkicker, Peter Mullan, from Ozark and Quarry.
