Man the ticks are so bad this year. I feel like I find a new one crawling around every day from walking my dog. Seriously skeeves me out.
I had to spray my backyard. So far this year we have found about 7 of them in our house, on us or on the dogs.....I agree gives me the chills when I see those fuckers crawling around in my house

We've found more on the dog in the past 2 months (even with flea and tick applied) than we have in the past 5 years.
Yup, really bad everywhere already and it's only May. It used to be only this bad in the South, now all the way up to Canada. Climate change/ecological disruption at work.
There's also at least two new, even more virulent tick-borne diseases than Lyme they're seeing, Powassan & Alpha-gal.
Been thinking about getting guinea fowl or chickens to clear the yard at least:
the natural enemies of ticks
Also, one more reason to never kill a possum, maybe even breed them:
Opossums - killers of ticks
"the team estimated that in one season, an opossum can kill about 5,000 ticks.... people think opossums might be rabid when they drool and hiss and carry on when threatened. In fact, opossums are resistant to rabies."
