This CD blew me away. After their last album I thought they would either go stale or make something like this, something defying most conventional borders of dark music and metal.

The meloncholy and emotion pour forth like an undammed river in this sludgy, at times melodic, and heavy in a completely different way album. These guys have really taken the horse by the reigns and released an album that will please and addict any fan of extremely depressing music. The music is composed more of repetition with slight variences that eventually morph into another riff instead of having to start and stop to achieve texture.

It's hard to pick a favorite track, but "It all dies today" really grabbed my attention due to the usage of clean and sorrowful vocals mixed with anquished low pitched growls, and the musical structure is very flowing, rhythmatic and mature in composition. They also really having a way of doing "heavy" without having to resort to any extra effort like most bands.

Then to top that they follow off with "True Love", a song that starts out quite calm with some very good clean vocals then completely smashes you in the face with a blast of sludgy destruction. The other songs are all just as good, but if I took the time to describe all of them in detail I would run out of metaphores and database space.

The big question is: what can this band possible do to get any better? They have already released two of the most solid and original pieces of music I have heard in the past year or so. Well, if they can top this one, then they have reserved a permanent place on my all time top ten bands.

I just downloaded the song, true love. It reminds me a lot of Neurosis, it's good.
