Review:
FUCK YES! New Pro-Pain. This totally makes up for the last turd I had to listen to. When I was given this disc to review me I almost wanted to say “How could you give this one up?” but then I thought better and kept my mouth shut. No End In Sight marks the 11th time the boys from New York have presented us with a full length studio record and they haven’t lost their touch.

If I really need to describe what Pro-Pain sounds like I will only allow three excuses. 1) you live under a rock 2) you were born yesterday 3) you are retarded. That’s it. But in the interest of fairness, Pro-Pain is straightforward hardcore blended with lots of groove metal. This is man’s music. It also can serve as the soundtrack to a good bar fight as well. If you don’t like Pro-Pain you might as well turn in your dick and balls because you are a disgrace to the Y-chromosome.

Since 1992’s Foul Taste Of Freedom, Pro-Pain has done little to change up their style. The new disc is nothing different, which is a great thing because when I like something I don’t want a surprise change. Sure I can tell this record isn’t going to be my favorite but it’s still pretty awesome. In a world of bad haircuts and equally terrible fashion invading the hardcore scene it’s nice to see some of the regular good ol’ boys come back and put the testosterone back in hardcore.

If you really have never heard Pro-Pain before this is a safe album to check out. It’s not their best but a good start. I would then quickly go and pick up Contents Under Pressure or The Truth Hurts. They are easily my favorite two records of the band. Get ready to mosh, drink yourself into a stupor, or like the end of most Pro-Pain shows…a little of both.

Oh and if you comment on this review saying you don’t like Pro-Pain, you can toss my salad. It’s probably a favorite past time of yours anyway.
