By now it's safe to say that Bleeding Through have mastered their sound. For the blackened metalcore style (as wore out as it is) the standard has been set for every up and coming metalcore band with keyboards by Bleeding Through. With that said they offer no new elements and use the same formula they've always used only perfected. So basically if you liked this band before you'll eat The Great Fire up if you hate this band then don't even bother giving it a shot.
Great production, double bass and blast beats everywhere, pause chug breakdowns, and of course the occasional melodic accessible hook on every couple of tracks. The songs are shorter which held my attention more through out the record, but still the same repetitive structure every song doesn't hold up. In a way they wrote the same record as the last few they put out.
Final Hours, The Devil and Self Doubt and Trail of Seclusion will surely make every 17 year old girl into metalcore have a soaked coochie. With the same melodic chorus with tons of symphonic keyboards. For the Boys who want to try and get said coochies will have their best shot to impress in the pit to songs like Starving Vultures and Walking Dead. As much fun as I am making I will say that the breakdowns and mosh parts are heavy like a dumptruck, but we all know how far "just being heavy" goes.
All and all I totally see why they're as big as they are especially with the young kids. If they were playing a show I went to I'd definitely be banging my head while sipping my 12 dollar margarita guitar. No way in hell would I go out of my way to hear these songs live though. They're good at being heavy, this record is very heavy but a lot of the time that's just not good enough. Especially when it's the same heavy formula that's a decade old.

Listen to Bleeding Through

BT is definitely headed in the right direction within their sound. It's still not a sound I'm always in love with, but when you want it, BT delivers it best.
