If you like Death Metal, you cannot go wrong with this album. Acephalix apparently started out as a Crust band, on Deathless Master an very evil sounding Death Metal band is present, with only hints of their Crust roots coming through with the occasional d-beat something that isn't uncommon in this style.
This album is full of songs that would not be out of place in a 90's Death Metal Time Machine. Buzzraw riffs ripping through your face, vocals that would make a Balrog run in fear, tight drums that rarely let up. The songs are mostly mid to face paced with occasional slow parts to build the mood.
This style is certainly making a comeback with bands like Acephalix, Disma, Hooded Menace all doing their variations on Death Metal. I for one love it and I prefer an evil sounding groove over technical wanking anyday.
