Oh here we go. Before I get into the review let me tell you why this band exists, other than the fact that they hate our ear drums. The last active line-up of Entombed had a falling out with founding guitarist Alex Hellid. Alex left/got kicked out, depending on who you ask, and the remaining line-up continued without him. A legal battle ensued of the right to the Entombed name. Singer Lars-Göran "LG" Petrov Petrov was awarded the right to use the band name in connection with future recording and touring activities, a decision which Hellid appealed without success. In order to avoid another legal battle the line-up of Lars-Göran Petrov, Olle Dahlstedt, Nico Elgstrand, and Victor Brandt continued as Entombed A.D.

I can honestly say after making it through this album, if these guys decided to continue under an original name, no one would care. Guess they figured it be better for them to ride the coat tails of Entombed's legacy. They may still use the Entombed name, but this is not Entombed. This kind of phoned in, half-assed, heavy metal I would expect from a local band playing a dive bar, but not form a legacy act like Entombed, but like I said this is not Entombed.

This album was a chore to get through. The first thing that struck me upon listening to this album was how bad the production is, it sounds like they recorded on analog, but I've heard better recordings on analog. The lyrics are repetitive and dumb, they sound like something a meathead would write. The instrumentals are no better. The few solo's are nothing more than basic scales speed up. I breathed a sigh of relieve when this album ended.

I have nothing else to say about this album except, Entombed A.D., you're not fooling anyone, it's time to hang it up. All you guys are doing is dragging the Entombed name through the mud and tarnishing the legacy of Entombed.
