Baphomet / Housecore (www.baphomethousecore.com)

Baphomet / Housecore partners Philip Anselmo and Killjoy have announced that their label has finalized a marketing and distribution agreement with Philadelphia-based underground music label Relapse Records. The agreement is effective immediately and will see Relapse Records handling all aspects of manufacturing, marketing and distribution worldwide for Baphomet / Housecore.
Regarding Baphomet / Housecore, Anselmo states, "What you're going to get here with Baphomet / Housecore, it's going to be different. It's going to be a fresh approach. It's going to be a lot of home-made shit, not all major label-produced monstrosities. I just got permission from Elektra to independently put out all the bands that I've ever fucking done. Each band that I'm involved in outside of Pantera is a way for me to express and develop different outlets that are very much a part of me. With Pantera it's only one side of me. I love to write and create music, and the side bands are very different from Pantera. They also show the flexibility in me as a musician; Pantera's very important in my life, but there's many other things that keep this boy here content."

The first Baphomet / Housecore releases will be Southern Isolation, Wurdulak, and Gorelord, with release dates projected for October 30th, 2001.

Superjoint Ritual's self-titled debut album will be released in late Jan/early Feb 2002. Superjoint Ritual is comprised of Philip Anselmo (of PANTERA on vocals), Jimmy Bower (on guitars from COC / EYEHATEGOD), Michael Haga (on bass from DEAD HORSE) and the drummer from Demon Seeds (local TX act). With sales on the latest Pantera at almost 600,000 scanned so far and the last DOWN album at over 200,000 scanned to date, things look very promising indeed for this lil' release. More info will follow soon!

Also be on the lookout for the sophmore release from THE RAVENOUS in early 2002 (featuring Killjoy from Necrophagia, Dan Lilker from SOD/Brutal Truth, and Chris Riefert from Abscess/Autopsy/Death).
