Des Ark and Pygmy Lush will be embarking today on a six week long US tour to give their fans an early look at new material from their upcoming albums. Read below for a list of tour dates.

Des Ark’s new album, entitled Don’t Rock The Boat, Sink the Fucker, was recorded by Kurt Ballou at Godcity Studios (Converge, Cave In, Torche, Paint It Black) and Jonathan Fuller at Black Iris Studios. It was later produced and mixed by Jonathan Fuller (Sleepytime Trio, Engine Down.)
Don’t Rock The Boat, Sink the Fucker will follow up the Lovitt split with Ben Davis and the Jett$ entitled Battle of the Beards also released by Lovitt Records in 2007.
You can check an intimate acoustic version of the song “Which One Of You Assholes Ate Christmas?” courtesy of If You Make It here.

Pygmy Lush will be supporting their new album, Old Friends. The band has posted the song “Yellow Hall” from the highly anticipated album on Soundcloud.
Old Friends was recorded this past fall in Salem, MA by Kurt Ballou at Godcity Studios (Converge, Cave In, Torche, Paint It Black.)
Eric Kane of Strike Anywhere has joined the band on drums. Kane recorded on Old Friends and will be playing drums on the current tour.
Old Friends will be the follow up album to Pygmy Lush’s Mount Hope released also on Lovitt Records back in 2008.

Both albums will be released by Lovitt Records on May 3rd.
Lovitt will also be releasing a teaser 7” from Pygmy Lush. The Guilt/Cold World -2 Song 7” shares two tracks from the Old Friends recording session that did not make the album.
