Just got it today. It rips

take old Sworn Enemy and throw in some Slayer and (old) Sepultura riffs.

I was going to say ''ever listen to Slayer?" You obviously took care of that. It's good, but I like the old Sworn Enemy better.

I saw them with Anthrax and the new songs blatantly rip off Slayer. They looked bored as shit playing it too.

Yeah, they got a big marketing sticker on the front "as seen on tour with Slayer, Slipknot, Hatebreed, and Ozzfest".

after a few listens i give it a thumbs up

def alot more metal then negative outlook but i aint complaining. id rather have bands do this kind of metalcore then that other shit that goes around anymore

when they recorded negative outlook sal had laryngitis (sp?) thats why his voice sounds different .

i'll always love sworn enemy and it's still a good album, but they do sound blaintantly like slayer

and the big fat ozzfest marketing sticker on the front is classic.

I'm listening to this now... I'm like 5 tracks in... and while objectively speaking this is a good album... in comparison to Negative Outlook and even As Real As It Gets this album bores me. It sounds awkward... kind of like how alot of Euro metalcore bands sound awkward... like the lyrics should be to NYHC and not Slayer. Know what I mean?

Sounds alot like Arkangel.

I liked it when they sounded more like Madball better. I have to resist flipping to Ironbound NYC.

Oh yeah, I forgot about Arkangel. When I saw Sworn Enemy recently the one riffs sounded completely lifted from an Arkangel song.

Well like their previous album but with more metal slayerized riff.
They couldn't do an album completely like the previous without being boring and repetitive, so it's a normal change. Personnaly I like it.

Ilhan, I disagree... every Madball album has the same sound... and Madball literally never bores me. Earlier Sworn Enemy rocks like Madball, this joint does not.
