I was looking at my old tapes and I happend to come across "All Out War" by Earth Crisis and on the inside it said this and pretty much word-for-word how I feel:

"Respect for all innocent life must encompass all those who are unable to defend themselves. Be it animals or unborn children, all must be given the same right to live free from enslavement, torture, and pain. To separate and give this right only to an animal in a vivisector's lab or a slaughterhouse and not an animal is inconsistent. As inconsistent as giving those rights to a human and not an animal. Respect for innocent life must be supreme.
In cases of incest or rape, obviously the mother should not have to expose herself to the further emotional trauma of carrying the child full term. However, we feel the view and use of abortion as a means of birth control is wrong.
This doesn't necessarily mean that we are in support of legislation banning abortion. We feel a more positive and realistic approach is education. Educating the kids who are having unprotected sex at younger ages every year. Teaching the older people to have more respect for each other and not treat each other like objects, and educating people so they don't get themselves in the position of having an unwanted pregnancy, the sometimes "unfortunate side-effect" of sex. We are in full support of complete sex education and free condom distribution in our schools. For us the solution is abstinence or monogamous relationships. This way in the event of an unplanned pregnancy the two parents could in the least support each other long enough to put the child up for adoption or hopefully raise the child themselves. For the fetus we will attack with a strategy of compassion, education, and personal accountability." - Earth Crisis

There is quite a long history of various forms of birth control dating back at least (so far as I know) to ancient Egypt. Condoms have existed for some time.. Cassanova wrote a poem about his condom (they weren't disposable at that time).

In early Greece there was a plant, the name escapes me now and I'm not in a position to look it up, that worked as a contraceptive/early abortant. It was used so abundantly that it disappeared by the decline of the Greek empire.

I feel pretty much the same way as EC.

Anyone who thinks a lot more sex education starting from a lot younger will result in more teen sex needs to look at Holland and then proceed to punch themselves in the face for making such a silly assumption.

My friends went to Holland and said it was overrun with hookers, back-packing nymphos and giant penis sculptures.

Regardless, if people are going to bitch about sex-ed it's probably in their better interest to redirect their efforts towards the mountains of T and A magazines, music lyrics and Janet's unruly TV-titties. You have to fix society before you can effectively change its programs.

Plus I knew all the shit they taught in sex-ed by the time I was seven; gotta love public schooling

none of this matters. if abortions were made illegal, people would just get illegal abortions. all you can do is what you believe in, and the argument can cease.

easy solution:
- make it illegal to adopt children outside of the United States
- make abortions illegal
- use imminent domain to seize a large portion of some poor state in the mid-west
- leftover children (those not adopted) will be funnelled into a seized land, to be named "New Sparta", for the purpose of training troops from childhood
- conquer anyone who says what we're doing is wrong

I doubt it was overrun with hookers. They have a red light district where it's legal.

Definitely. Kids, especially girls, are sexualised from a very young age because of most of the shit they see on TV and in magazines. And they're pretty much the only mainstream role models.

Yeah, the thing is that I think that focus a lot more of things like why you'd have sex, and how you'd feel about it, and general love and relationship stuff, so the sex education is put into context.

I don't feel that I was really lost at that age or anything, but then, I know some people who had sex are pretty fucking questionanable ages.
