Running is hard to get back into. I hate running but am glad I'm good at it and do it 3 times a week at least.

i have to run 7 miles every other day for my job and i fucking hate it. my shins and ankles are completely fucked, especially when we have to run with full gear on. I give cudos to anyone thatll just go out and run on their own just for self improvement. good job

I was just at the gym for the first time in like 2 years. I need to start running again. I'm going to start going to a boxing gym real soon and hopefully start muay thai and mma in the summer.

thats great tristan. but my advice is start running or some sort of cardio before hand and keep it up while youre training. if your mma class is anything like mine youll need the endurance boost.

Yeah I wont start that until like june because it's kind of far away and I don't have time to be running up there right now with school and work. The boxing gym is pretty close and hopefully that will help get me into shape too. But I'll definetly be running a lot, I used to run like 5 miles almost every day when I played soccer but that was over 2 years ago.

That's what I'm going to attempt to do but it's cold and I'm not a morning person. So we'll see.

I can't wait until I can jog/run again. I'm getting surgery on my knee on Thursday, and hopefully once I am healed I can get back to my ultra awesome fitness level.

I'm not a fan of distance running (even light stuff like 3 miles) at all. Hi intensity cardio is much better for you imo.

hi intensity is good for conditioning and to build up your stamina but long distance is perfect for weight loss...now if you can get like 3-4 miles in about 16-20 minutes then youre doing well

I just started doing that again over the past few weeks. I'm taking it easy though and only going a mile and a half a day. I'll increase it a little bit every week so that it's not such a huge burden all at once.

I miss living in florida and being able to run on the beach, it's so much better on your knees. lately I've been stepping it up with cardio, riding a local bike trail and running a lot at the gym, losing weight is nice.
