i went to the coal mine tour in scranton, kind of boring. it couldnt hold my interest, it was freezing out so i was kind of annoyed to begin with.

ARE AWESOME. brings back sooo many memories. we used to go to the lake by my house as a kid and get ice cream and ride paddle boats. i imagine now id probably get frustrated from paddling hard only to go 1.2 mph, but nostalgia is calling my name.

I really liked both of these tours. they were fun and really kept my interest. The only thing is you can do neither in the summer, its too damn HOT!

Yeah Centralia really has nothing there except a big messed up road. You might be able to see some smoke rising up from the ground, but it varies a lot. Ashland is the other town you're talking about. They have the coal mine tour, and that's about it. The coal mine tours are cool if you are familiar with the history of the area, and want to see how those people worked. Jim Thorpe is a better place to visit because it's a nice town, and there is also a lot of history down there. You could definitely do all three of those in a day too. Crystal Cave isn't really far from Ashland either.

Crystal Cave is decent, but I've been to some huge caverns so it seems a little small. It's definitely worth seeing though. It also offer prime burping opportunity when they turn the lights off.
