pretty much. i think some girls feel useless without it...like there's no point to their lives after a certain time period unless they are getting married or having a baby.

I never intend to be married, it just doesn't made sense to me. And I really hope I never have kids. I'm very very careful with that. My mom gets really mad at me over that.

the military was even crazier. everyone getting out of training was going through culture shock and getting married left and right at 18 and 19 years old.
i understand you miss your girl and how your life used to be, but no need to do anything crazy...

are you fucking kidding me with this shit? you've already been married, at 16. you had a kid, at 16. you were engaged again by 23....now you're going to throw this out there and pass judgment on other's for wanting to get married to someone they love. jesus christ.

first i was not passing judgement...on anyone. i was just making a note how everyone around me seems to be married.engaged/pregnant.

second, my business is not yours to announce on the internet. i don't bring up your "past relationships".

oprah made a comment about womens biological clocks, i was simply stating some girls reach an age they feel they need to have accomplished these things.

you're the one passing judgement on me. what i did i didn't have much say in....however, i have sucessfully managed to raise an AWESOME kid who is smart and fun and shines like a star.

A friend and I were out last night and this came up in convo. It's crazy to me because my closest friend is getting married in January and girls younger then me are popping out kids left and right.. I haven't even had a "serious" relationship and my friends are settling down. Its just insane to me.

i do not want marriage or kids. if i can find someone whom i can just cohabitate with, i'll be happy.

i wouldn't say MOST of my friends are getting married and having kids. however, some are slowly starting to. and of course, i have a few friends that had one or both years ago, when they were younger. any time that anyone i know gets married or has a kid, it feels weird. i feel like i'll forever be approximately 21 years old.

anyway, most everyone that's a good friend (including me), is not interested in this stuff... or at least not until we're situated in whatever career and city we want to be in. i've always said that my generation (or at least the people right around my age - same thing) would cause the exact opposite of a "baby boom," but i guess outside of my circle, that's not really true at all.

A lot of my friends seem to be having babies, even the ones who said that weren't going to. Also, my younger sister just had her second kid. Mostly boys.

i don't REALLY want to be married & having kids until i'm 28-30.

buuuuut.

in the past year or so, the "I WANT A BABY AND AN AWESOME HUSBAND NOW" thing has serrrriously kicked in. it's definitely a weird feeling to get used to.
