it's probably one of the best feelings in the world when you're watching a movie or a show and suddenly you hear a quote that has been used in a song. i find with the movies i watch it usually happens with metal songs but i find other genres too

the other day i was watching the last episode of twin peaks and i heard the opening to a pig destroyer song and i totally flipped my lid, does this happen to other people?

"DOPPLEGAAANGER!"

the opening to the spazz album "man la revancha" is the golden harvest logo music, it took quite a few kung fu movies to realize that one

and theres a boondock saints quote in an electro quarterstaff song

i dunno, i usually just make a big fuss and laugh a lot when i hear them and then try to explain to my girlfriend what the fuck im talking about

I was watching Falling Down the other day on TV, I had never seen it before, and I heard the quote from Graf Orlock's Not Economically Viable.

"He had all the guns in the fucking world"

I watch a lot of old kung fu movies and know almost all the Wu-Tang samples from 36 Chambers and the first wave solo albums... 36 Chambers Of Shaolin, Master Killer and its sequels, Five Deadly Venoms, and Lone Wolf & Cub are the big ones but I hear a bunch of different movies.

I'm dying to know what clip Shook Ones used in Attitude is the Agent. And the one Jealous Again used in the first track of their demo.

I really suck at figuring out these quotes, but I love when I do actually figure them out, haha.

In the movie "Shogun Assassin" or "wolf and little cub"

(depending on which version you get)

there is an awesome monologue that GZA uses in the beginning of liquid swords.

"When I was little, my father was famous. He was the greatest Samurai in the empire, and he was the Shogun's decapitator. He cut off the heads of 131 lords for the Shogun. It was a bad time for the empire. The Shogun just stayed inside his castle and he never came out. People said his brain was infected by devils. My father would come home he would forget about the killings. He wasn't scared of the Shogun, but the Shogun was scared of him. Maybe that was the problem. Then, one night the Shogun sent his ninja spies to our house. They were supposed to kill my father, but they didn't. That was the night everything changed..."

not really what this thread was about....but awesome all the same

What's the sample on Before Dishonor? I'm pretty sure I've heard it before but I don't remember on what.
