it really is just personal preference....you should go to both stores and try both and see what you like using the most....some people like having the keys under their fingers (blackberry) and some prefer a touch screen.

i've heard that the blackberry is a better corporate tool....but the iphone (the new one) is more for the casual type user (cause of the music and video thru itunes).

all in all....again try both in a store.

I never understood the point of buying a smartphone without getting a data plan.

Can you explain why you would want to do this?

have the iphone and a blackberry. the iphone is far superior in terms of the screen, organization, usability, music, and support (has way more applications). the blackberry is easier to text with.

I keep my ipod at home basically as an external hard drive. My blackberry is perfect for me, is compatible with my company's enterprise server, and it's nice and tiny. Also, posting from it right now.

I have the old 8 gig iPhone. I have some problems with mine, but that's more than likely because I have 4+ gigs of music on it. Biggest problem is the Internet always crashes on me and the battery runs out pretty quickly. The only two things I don't like about the platform are you can't make videos and its SMS text only (no multimedia text). I haven't looked at the new one yet so idk if it has those two functions. But I do most of my posting here from my phone while I'm at work :)
