So i went to my old work for a job and the old boss was really happy i'd be working there again ,so he comes over to give me a handshake. Hes a small guy and i start to shake his hand.. it goes kinda long so i start to let go and go kinda limp with my hand.. and the guy keeps holding on and shaking... so after a few second of "limp" i start shaking again and a few seconds later try to get out of it again but he is still trying to shake my damn hand. Prob the longest and weirdest handshake i have ever had in my life.

Anyone else ever have any strange or long handshakes.

Any time someone did this to my dad, he had a standard response. Go in for the bro hug/handshake combo... pat the dude's back a few times, then pull off and clasp his free hand over top of both of their hands and while looking the dude in the eye, he'd say, "You're a good man, son." Didn't matter who it was or how old the person was... any lingering handshake would get the same response. He'd totally ham it up and then make fun of the guy the second he turned away. Pretty sure he just did it for his own amusement.

I think I've only had the long awkward handshake once, and it was from one of my mom's old lady friends.

I've had the long awkward handshake at a job fair once. I was literally going over my resume while the guy was continually shaking my hand for a solid minute. It was really odd.
