Cue traditional responses of "only the EP was good" despite the fact that none of you were around for it.

I think every album is great because they change. I do not subscribe to the idea that they should have stuck with the style that Opposite had. Yeah there's a lot more singing, and they've added alot of twang and Southern-style rock to their sound, but I side with them not being stale.

This band is responsible for feminizing hardcore.

Fuck them.

you're just conflating cause and correlation now.

there were plenty of wusses in hardcore/punk before and it's not as if that's a platform they pushed.

that's like blaming Converge for annoying hipsters in hardcore
or Crowbar for fat people in metal.

this sounds like deftones doing metalcore with a surf rock influence. i dig it more than anything they've put out in a long time.

Disagree. PTW was one of, if not the first Abercrombie tight-girl pants fashion-core bands in hardcore, and along with 18 Visions and Atreyu. proceeded to ruin any hope of metalcore being good.

i don't know anyone who, ca. 2000-2002/3, would lump them in with those bands.

Total fabrication. That shit was well-established and spreading like the plague, while PTW was just doing their thing at Warped Tour every year, playing the Take Action tour with Further Seems Forever, and get tossed out on their ass by Trustkill.
