I have a (est.) 5 year old Savannah Monitor that I'd like to find a new home for. I adopted him a few years ago from a friend who was just going to let him loose, but I've become so consumed with work over the last couple years that I haven't had time to spend with him. My dog has a strong prey drive, so I can't even let him out loose (he needs work for that anyways). It's unfair for him, so I'd like to re-home him to someone who is willing to spend some time with him. He does eat live mice, so any potential owner should be able to handle this.

He's not very fond of being handled, but will let you pet him if you're cautious. He's squirmy if handled. With time and a little effort, I think he could be holdable and let to roam loose in appropriate conditions, indoors.

If someone on here takes him, he's free (with his heat rock). If you want the 40 gallon reptile house he's in, and the hooded light, I ask a $40 fee for the setup. He really should have larger housing, but I haven't had time to build anything. I don't know that he'll get much bigger, but a larger cage would be ideal.

Located in Bethlehem. Will deliver if not too far, otherwise you'd have to come pick him up.

His name is Thing 1

So cute. My dog would probably eat him though, and I couldn't handle the live mice feedings. Hope someone takes him.

yeah my dog isn't cool with him either and i leave the live feeding to my husband.

that alli girl suggested i try a reptile rescue, so i might go that route if i can't find a good home for him. i'm in no hurry or anything.

Thing still needs a lovin home, bump bump

HA! funny gal you are. i've never clipped them. he'd bite/poop on me.

like i said though, i'm in no hurry to get rid of him. i've had him for a few years already. i just don't have the time to spend with him that he should have.
