got these today. never heard of em before but i got em for free. I was skeptical about them because Ive never seen anything like em. They clip to your ear and actually sit behind your ear lobes.

aside from the behind the lobe design, what I thought was most weird about these headphones is that they have to be plugged in and charged up. About half way up the cord is a small battery and amplifier. The bass rattles your entire body

These are what I use now, completely satisfied. They also have an impressive range of bass for IEMs.

i have yet to find a comfy pair of head phones. earbuds or anything you stick in there don't fit in my earholes at all. the ones i have now hook behind my ear and fucking fall off when i'm running. whine.

I just use skullcandy ones because they are soft and fit in my ear...hard ear buds are uncomfortable and never stayed in my ears. plus they come with three different sized buds

when im at my desk i use sony studio DJ headphones MDR-V700. everywhere else i use these upgraded apple earbuds with replacable pieces so they fit better to your ear canal. i think i have small ear drums because most one-size earbuds are too big.

Bose in-ear headphones, so comfy and don't fall out... I would never pay the $90 for them but luckily I got them as a gift.

i hate earbuds. i like the big ass headphones that cover your ears. comfy, and they let you be completely encased in your noise without having to hear anyone else's noise

question for the OP, you said that you break a lot of headphones. Is the problem is that one bud stops working or the wires get pulled out of the cords? If so you probably wrap the wires around your iPod, and that is actually what does that. If you just wrap them around your hand then leave them in your pocket/bag loose, they will last much much longer.

with that being said, i used to like the ear buds, but i think i damaged my ear drum a couple weeks ago so they have been getting uncomfortable.

I def wrap the wire around the ipod a lot and eventually the wire starts to tear down near the plug-in end. I've ruined a couple pairs by accidently stepping on them. theyre so fragile.

I've had a couple pairs stop working after getting wet in the rain. Or the little screen thingy on the ear bud itself eventually breaks and falls off. They still work for a while but eventually get fuzzy.
Recently I ruined a pair by accident, i hopped in my car with my ipod in my left pocket. The ear buds were dangling out of my pocket a bit and actually got crushed by the car door when I closed it.

agreed, if I'm on a plane or long car ride or somehting like that. I use the buds when I'm running, hiking, golfing. I wear em a lot when I go shopping so people dont bother talking to me its great

I still wanna know whats so special about the dre beats

i have this EXACT pair. they stay put pretty nice when i'm running/working out and fit snug enough that i don't have to listen to anyone/anything else around me. i bought them well over a year ago and haven't had a single issue with them.

I have a pair of Grado SR60s that sound great, but don't have any isolation at all. I only use them at home. I bought a pair of JVC HA-RX700s for tour and they sound fairly comparable. More low-end, open high-end, great isolation. Great pair of clunky, obnoxious looking headphones for $35.

oh and if your issue is fucking up the cord and money isn't much of an issue, shure makes an earbud that unplugs from both ends (the 1/4" in, and at each ear piece). my cousin has them and swears by them.
