and tomorrow night, on PBS

i really hope every baseball fan has seen his original baseball documentary series. it's seriously one of the best things ever put to film. the ones about the civil war and WWII were incredible as well.

anyways, the new one goes over everything that's happened since 1994. the strike, steroids, the yankee dynasty, the sawx breaking the curse, steve bartman, and tons of other crap

i am so excited for this i kinda peed myself just now

the only thing about this that worries me is that it will not feature two the strongest assets in the original series: buck o'neil's colorful stories, and the spot-on, pitch-perfect narration by john chancellor

seriously, how good is he? can anyone else on earth deliver his lines this well?

i think keith david's narration is flat as shit but the thing as a whole was very good

it'll be cool to watch it again in 20 years when this stuff is more history than journalism

Felt the same, it was good, but were still a little to close to it to have the impact that his other series have had.

and i was glad to see moneyball get about 4 seconds of screen time with no names aside from bill james mentioned
