We have an apple airport extreme in the house, which has an external hard drive connected to it. It was all set up using a mac as the main administrator or whatever. I don't know computer shit.

How do I wirelessly access the external hard drive on my pc? On my dude's mac, you can just pop it open.

I've been googling this bullshit for forever and I can't get any answers.

I don't need to hear all of that "derder apple sucks der der" I just want to know how to hack the gibson and get into the networkz. Thanks dudes.

you'd have to know the IP address of the airport, then you could map the drive and access it like the mac does

http://www.mac-forums.com/forums/airport-networking-wireless/107084-how-connect-windows-pc-external-hard-drive-via-airport-extreme.html is the first thing that came up which looks relevant

if that isnt helpful, i googled "windows map drive airport" which brought up a bunch of forums/blogs with info on the topic

serious answer: i would need more detail, but if the network shares are all set up properly in a windows networking environment, you can just go to start - run - and type in "\\computername\driveletter$" ex: \\tomscomputer\c$

How to make an airport work with a MAC: Turn on the computer and wait for the wizards inside to make it so.

Your PC might not be set up with the external hard drive. go to page 15. If that doesn't work than idk.
