and what are you currently reading?

With the upcoming launch of the new DC 52, thinking about getting into reading comics again with a fresh start. After 15 years of not reading them, I'm so far out of the loop.

Also - new X-Men books start soon too - Wolverine and the X-Men.

I snagged about a decades worth of digital copies of xmen starting in 1991, so thats been keeping me busy.

i like how the Deathnote ones are done, having to read those backwards from back to front is trippy

Yeah, I have a bunch of Trigun manga and a few other series and its a little odd to start at the back and work your way up.

Walking Dead and whatever trades that Dennis lets me borrow.

I'm going to start the new Xmen when it starts up. I used to read the Uncanny Xmen but so much shit has happened that it's dumb to try to jump in there now.

I'm really out of touch, but apparently it has to do with the x-men team splitting up...so the Uncanny X-men books are done I think, and now there are going to be 2 new groups - one lead by Cyclops and one lead by Wolverine, but they are against each other I believe. Cyclops team will be in a new #1 of Uncanny Xmen and Wolverines team will be in Wolverine and The XMen #1. Apparently Cyclops team is aligned with Magneto while Wolverines is with Xavier.

I don't know too much about it, just that it starts in October, and is the result of the current story line "Schism"

I could be completely wrong.

that sounds cool. i've been out of the comic loop for 2 or so years now. i really don't have any use to start collecting again though, as i have like 12 long boxes inconveniently filling various areas of space throughout my apartment.
maybe i'll look into this whole downloading comics thing.

Ennis' run on Punisher Max is incredible.

Currently re-reading the Authority and the Filth, as well as the new Wormwood and Crossed books.

I find it hard to believe that Cyclops is going to side with Magento, I'm curious as to how that pans out.

Will read, regardless.

I can't stress enough how great the new GI Joe series is on IDW Publishing. They've picked up where Marvel left off with the "A Real American Hero" series, but the really excellent series is the reboot that IDW started with. It's definitely not a kid's comic book at all. And you learn really fast that you can't expect certain characters to live just because they're established people in the GI Joe universe. Bloody violent, deep storylines, fantastic artwork... Fans from the old series or cartoons should definitely check it out. Even if you weren't a fan years back, it's a bad ass comic to read. The "Cobra" miniseries that is now its own regular series has also been crazy. The conclusion of the first mini series had one of the best "holy shit" moments I've ever read.

Are there any decent websites where one can subscribe and get a select number of comics in the mail monthly?

If so, any recommendations?

currently rehashing the walking dead continuum, marvel zombies vs evil dead, runaways, rising stars and just got my hands on a few unowned issues of the darkness.
