This album is a big downer album but the songs are actually pretty good. I really miss their upbeat stuff though. It doesn't have to be like their old stuff just upbeat and fun instead of slow and depressing.

I don't think anyone's asking them to write immature songs about dicks at this point in their career. But their current sound is so far removed from what they used to sound like (even two albums ago) that it's hard to enjoy anything they're doing now. Some remote semblance of a pop punk band would be nice, I don't even know how to categorize this new shit.

Having said that, I only really cared for Dude Ranch anyway, so I really don't care either way. Just making an observation.

I think the songs with Mark singing are much better than Tom's. I agree that he is still trying to do A&A/with a bit of box car while playing with Blink. Overall the album is not bad or great and something that will get played while on a long drive when I have not listened it once in a while.

toms voice is a bit much on most of his songs.

After 4 or 5 good listens I am super into it. I love the ST record and I already think this is a more solid rounded out record then their ST. It displays aspects from Blinks entire career. Solid. After Midnight is my jam.

Probably won't leave rotation for a month. With that said, Blink could probably put out a record of fart noises and I'd love it. I love the progression they've made but then again I also understand why they sound so far from what the "used" to sound like. You can tell after TOYPAJ, they made a conscious decision to grow as musicians. They probably felt so far removed from being 18 y/o punk rock kids. I get it.
