Is there anything in their entire catalog that matches the speed / technicality of this? I would love this band if they always made tracks like this

This EP made getting into Catch 33 a little harder for me because I was hoping it would be as absurd. It is absurd, but in a different way. The way this EP opens up is incredible.

i feel like i'm the only person in the world who can't get into this band. i appreciate the technicality, but i can listen to like, one song and it's game over

^ That's how I am about this EP. This song sounds nothing like their earlier or later work. I like how it kicks off with almost noise, goes through various time signature changes & has amazing calmer parts. Catch 33 is a good album, but it doesn't have nearly enough energy for me.

the entire album "Chaosphere" matches the speed of "I". It's my favorite still.

I used to have that, but I'll give it another listen and try to keep an open mind about it

At times it matches the speed, but I wouldn't necessarily say it completely matches the complexity. IMO you can't go wrong with any Meshuggah from Destroy... onward.
