I sometimes think of buying a few records for the artwork and hanging them up but that’s as far as it ever goes.

I have a buddy that doesn't have a record player but will buy the records of bands he really likes. He'll only buy colored vinyl though, and its more about just having them as a collectible than as a music medium.

i don't understand it, having limited editions or rare versions is cool but why buy them if you can't listen to them?

I guess its more of the idea of them as "art". Its like buying toys and not taking them out of the box because they're collectible. Some folks enjoy things on various levels. I for one listen to my records, but I recognize they are a super inconvenient medium and that its the physical nature of them that makes me like them....the art work, the variants, run out etchings, etc.

The sound of vinyl might be the lowest on my list of reasons I like vinyl.

most of the people that buy our records listen to the music mostly on streaming services. personally i once in a while vibe out and put on a couple records and chill at my house, but i'm not in one place long enough to really do that.

Samesies. I will usually give it a spin or two when I buy it, but 95% of my music listening time is spent somewhere other then near my turn table.

I feel like I’d have to listen to records in a separate room with the door closed or my cats would battle the player
