just read any of the mma websites...they normally do fight recaps pretty much minutes after the events.

mmaweekly is probably the most accurate site.

Fender bassman amps are sweet. Sorry It took me awhile to back on this subject I was at home without good internet access. But yeah old fender Bassman head/combos are pretty sexy and you really can't go wrong in that department.

They are tuned at F, Bb, Eb, Ab, Db, Gb, Bb (thats 11 notes below a normal guitar) My recommendation would be an old fender of some sort. Fender amps have incredible clean capabilities and basically define what it is clean guitar sound like. If you can find a Fender 75 Head (they turn up on ebay every now and then for about $300) jump on it. It's only 75 watts but it is a loud 75 watts and it is a very versatile amp (the gain channel sucks on it, I recommend a pedal for that) you could use one of those heads for pretty much anything. Another trick is finding something with a great clean sound and use pedals to adjust your sound from there. Like both nick and dennis use Fender amps with great clean sounds then just dirty them up with pedals or cascading amp gain from 1 amp to another into them.

If I had no guitar equipment and just won the lottery. I would pick up an electric 180 watt Master Volume Unit or a Power Volume Unit http://www.electricamp.com/. With a 6x15 cab. Actually I'd probably get several. Then a pigtronix echolution, digitech reverberator, and the rest of the pedals would just get obsurd.

In the real world look into Old vintage amps. Old Peavey's are cool, SUNN obviously, there are a few cool old Fenders out there. Check out bass amps I prefer them for guitar use (hence nick using an old Fender Bass combo for half of his amp) Just gotta look around, if it has about 100watts of power and runs off tubes you can get something cool out of it generally.

See this is harder since everyone's rigs are different live and studio. Dennis ran a Line 6 POD into a fender bassman 300 Combo for his sound on the album. But live he runs a Marshal JCM 900 w/4x12 and a fender twin reverb. In the studio nick had a really weird setup involving a Peavey Butcher head with a 4x12 and a gallien krueger backline 112 combo that was running a straight octave down singal from an AB/Y'd Electro Harmonix POG then his pedal board which had a bunch of different pedals. Dennis was using a danelectro Hashbrowns Flanger, and Boss DD-6 Delay.

My suggestion, Get a loud tube amp. get some delay, and fuzz pedals. Electro Harmonix makes awesome everything. The trick is getting the optimum out of what you can afford.

Just noticed that you play guitar, if you want to know the guitar setup let me know. I'm the bassist, but I pretty much all the guitar stuff is mine.

On Hippie Killer I was using an Ibanez ATK 305 setup for a low F,Bb,Eb,Ab,Db tuning. I was using a Hughes & Kettner BassBase 400 Head
with H&K 4x10 Cab (live is 2 4x10's) My pedalboard consisted of A Morley Tel-Ray Wah/Volume. Hughes & Kettner Tube Factor Distortion. Boss SYB-3 Bass Synth, Boss DD-20, Electro Harmonix Big Muff Pi,Effector 13 Truly Beautiful disaster and a few rotating pedals. However, I have since upgraded pretty much everything in my board/rig/bass so it sounds better.

Current Rig Mesa 400+ 2 H&K 4x10 cabs. Custom made 5 string bass with seymour duncan MM style electronics (same low F tuning). Pedalboard is Morley Tel Ray Wah, Death By Audio Interstellar Bass Overdriver, Pigtronix Echolution, Electro Harmonix Bass Micro Synth, E13 TBD, Boss RC-2 Loop station, and a EHX nano Small Stone.

Thanks for noticing my sound however, it makes me really happy I don't put so much time into everything and no one notices. So you just made my day dude.

Haha, you caught me at the right time.

Yeah, I hate venues getting shut down. Happens way too often. Luckily it looks like things are at least ok around here right now. There are some solid venues at the moment.

And yeah, Ruined is great.

I honestly don't know for sure why I think so, but I know how hyped I get when I see them playing and that when they play a show, I automatically don't care who else is playing, no matter who it is. They just get me really excited about music and shit, which is why I dig so much.

Those other bands you mentioned are up there, though, especially Ceremony.
