I will actually answer this question whole heartedly.
I think christmas exists for one purpose. and purpose is not to get gifts and "spend time with family and friends" while those are good things, great things, it just isn't why.
the real reason is to celebrate the "birth" or really, the existence when you think about it, of jesus christ. whether or not people are christians, thats the truth.
and I dont really have any strong opinion about it either way, but I don't like the things that are happening; people saying happy holidays instead of merry christmas and so on.
I know you wanted something softer and more cheerful. but, well, I'm neither of those things.
but on a lighter note, I can't wait for christmas eve and day. I'm going home to visit mi familia.
